Horses for Sale or for Lease

HORSE FOR SALE:

Available for your consideration: JOE
Registered APHA "Dago Joe" Price $3,500.

Flashy Paint Horse Gelding born March 3, 2000.

This guy will get you noticed! He has energy and moves out nice. He is sound and likes to go. Intermediate or better rider reccomended. Women, men, or children with soft hands and a balanced seat will love riding this guy! He would excell at an English or Western Discpline such as Dressage, Cowboy Dressage, fun gymkhana horse, or trail riding. Joe stands 15.1hh and has a slightly leaner build. Joe has a smooth, rocking horse-like canter. He is very light in the mouth and knows leg cues. Joe can pivot on his shoulders and on his haunches. He can side step, but isn't smooth yet. He stops light and square. Backup is a bit stiff (we are currently working with him on this.) Transitions between gaits nicely. Knows correct leads and can counter-canter. He crosses bridges and goes through water without hesitation. He gets nervous in parades, but with some training he would be a flashy parade horse, too. Joe has some pep to his step and is a go-all-day kind of guy. He's the same horse when unridden for several months as he is when ridden on a daily basis. Easy going gelding in a herd setting. Trailers well, is good for the farrier and vet, and loves bath time. Don't miss out on this flashy gelding!
Lease-to-own or payment options are available for this wonderful gelding.

*Joe is currently in training 3 to 4 days per week. He will stay in light work until sold.
*Buck (see below) and Joe are best friends and compliment each other well. They would be a great mother / daughter, husband / wife, or best friends pair for pleasure or trail riding.

Available for your consideration: Buck
Registered AQHA "True Ladies Man" Price $1,500.

Sooty Buckskin Quarter Horse Gelding born April 14, 1995.

AVAILABLE TO LEAVE AFTER AUGUST 17th, 2017. He is still used in our summer camp program for the 2017 season.

Buck has been there and done that. He is confident, easy going, and likes to trot! He's a western horse all the way around. He's gettin' up there in age, but my goodness, don't tell him that, he thinks he's just about 10! He keeps up with Joe on the trails like a match made in heaven. Joe and Buck are best of buds, a deal could be made for these two geldings to stay together! Buck is great for all riders of all levels of all ages. He shouldn't be used for hard work, due to his age, but he could still easily hit up a good day-long trail. He's great for bathes, loading in the trailer, letting a 2 year old lead him around, splashing through water, stands quietly for the vet and farrier, and is even a fantastic parade horse. His only quirk is that he gets gate sour, but a strong willed kid can get him to keep going just fine. He's goes for trail rides in a group or by himself. He goes down the road by motorcycles, semi's, bicyclists, lama's, and even burning ditches. He watches cows, but I haven't worked him on cows before. This guy is amazing, so a great home is a must.
Lease-to-own or payment options are available for this wonderful gelding.
Buck price reflects his age, however, he is still an easy keeper on grass hay or pasture. In a few years he may need some senior feed to supplement forage.
*Buck (see below) and Joe are best friends and compliment each other well. They would be a great mother / daughter, husband / wife, or best friends pair for pleasure or trail riding.

Available for your consideration: Sky
Spotted Saddle horse gelding. $1,500

18 year old Black and White gelding. Stands about 14.3hh. No registration paperwork.

Sky is a small, gaited gelding. He is goofy and personable. He LOVES trick training the most. He is one of the most playful horses I have met. He is best for an experienced, smaller person under saddle. He is great with kids in the arena when he is closely monitered. I do not recomend Sky as a childs horse unless parents are experienced horse owners or trainers. Sky would do best for an experienced teenager looking to train with a more sensative horse; for a small adult as a trail mount, for leisure riding, as a trick horse; or as a very pretty leadline pony. Sky absolutely loves water, whether it comes from the hose, the water tank, or a pond; you can bet he'll want to play in it. While Sky is saddle trained, he has some fear issues from his past life. He is flighty by himself on the trail (but is okay in the arena by himself if other horses are in sight). He is herd sour and can become reactive if pressured too hard. When I say reactive, I indicate that he is willing to rear, bolt, or even possibly buck when too much pressure is applied. If you are calm, sensative, yet persisitant without being too firm, he will cooperate and become willing and eager to please again. I would love to see this guy with a person that wants to spend a lot of time with him. He is very social, playful, and just a big goofball!
Serious inquries only, please. Monthly payments or lease-to-own options are available. Price negatiable to the perfect home.

More information about Sky:
He has NOT bucked with me at all. I have owned him since 2010. He has, however, reared and bolted during the first few years that I have owned him. I have not had those issues in the last three years. His rearing and bolting issues tend to come with his herd sour issues. He has been used in OCHS's summer camp program since 2010 (on a leadline, he excells with a handler on the ground). He is currently being used in our summer camp program for the 2017 season.
We will try to get him back on the trail this summer (it's been 4 years or so since he has been off of the property).
He will have consistant work 2-4 days per week until sold.

Serious inquires may call or email us to schedule an appointment to meet available horses.

HORSES FOR LEASE:

These options are available starting on August 18th, 2017.
Do you wish to have the opportunity to ride more? Leasing may be the perfect option for you! Check out our horses below and talk to us to see which lease option and which horse might suit your needs the best!

Anira: 2002 registered (Texas Tequila Rose) tobiano APHA mare

Partial Lease, 2 days per week: $150 per month. Includes Tack.
Partial Lease, 3 days per week: $200 per month. Includes Tack.

Anira is a super sweet mare that would love some extra riding time. She stands 15hh. She goes English, Western, or bareback in the arena or out in the field alone or with other horses. She knows leg pressure with direct reining. She can pivot her hindquarters, roll back both directions, picks up correct canter leads (but is a tad lazy and has a big stride so solid seat is a must to canter this mare.) She is a confident yet laid back kind of mare. She can be a bit stubborn at times so a confident beginner or better rider would work well for her. She would be an ideal fit for a person that wants to improve their ability in a laid back atmosphere or someone needing some good riding time without the commitmentment of ownership. She is ideal for pleasure riding, dressage, western dressage and potentionally western pleasure.

Ben: 27 year old Arabian gelding

Partial Lease, 2 days per week: $150 per month. Includes Tack.

Ben is available for a child to ride while under supervision from a responsible adult. Ben is a been there, done that kind of horse. He takes care of his little rider and just adores kids. He can be cinchy when saddling, so an adult must tighten the girth, however, kids can do the rest. He is well mannered and listens to the childrens directions. He can go out for a trail ride with an adult present as well. This is a super star of a horse who is still in excellent shape for a childs mount. He also knows some fun tricks! Consider leasing this wonderful gelding for your child!
